| This job turned out to be easier
than I expected. I did not have a heat gun or hair dryer to warm up the
badge and since it was 55 degrees Fahrenheit outside I was worried that I
could not get the badge off. Removal -Double stick rubber tape is used to hold the badges on. I used the dental floss to cut through half the badge, then I could get enough leverage to pull the badge off. I picked off the rest of the tape and used several coats of Goo Gone to remove the tape residue then waxed the area I debadged my car nearly 6 years after it was made so there is a slight ghost image due to faded paint. But this is very faint and can only be seen from close up and at the right angle. After cleaning the area and waxing it I was very happy with the results. Cost: $2 Dental Floss, $5 Goo Gone Time: 20 min Difficulty: Easy |
