This brace and clamp is a
necessity to for every Saab to fix a design flaw. The flexible firewall
and large rubber bushing that anchor the steering rack allow for a lot of
slop. This leads to torque steer and poor handling during hard turns. This
brace and clamp fixes the problem by removing the rubber bushing and
anchoring the firewall to the wheel well frame. The brace and clamp are
made by MP Performance and is easy to install. The stock clamp and rubber
bushing is removed, then the new clap base is placed behind the steering
rack and the clamp is slid on top. Then a plastic tab is removed from the
wheel well and the brace is secured to it and the clamp. No cutting or
drilling is required, the install is quick and the improvement is handling
is very noticeable.
