Stromqvist Stage 3 ECU
The stage 3
requires a larger intake, 3" downpipe and 3" catalytic converter plus
sport exhaust. Dyno proven is 242 crank hp and 262 ft-lbs torque at 3100
rpm. The hp output was lower than anticipated due to the use of a MBC
during the dyno, however the torque figures were greater than expected.
The reason for this is embedded in the Saab Trionic system and is rather
complicated. In general a MBC with an upgraded ECU will create a better
low end but the top will suffer. Without more definitive numbers at this
point personal preference governs which one to use.
