Stromqvist Stage 3 ECU
The stage 3 requires a larger intake, 3" downpipe and 3" catalytic converter plus sport exhaust. Dyno proven is 242 crank hp and 262 ft-lbs torque at 3100 rpm. The hp output was lower than anticipated due to the use of a MBC during the dyno, however the torque figures were greater than expected. The reason for this is embedded in the Saab Trionic system and is rather complicated. In general a MBC with an upgraded ECU will create a better low end but the top will suffer. Without more definitive numbers at this point personal preference governs which one to use.

The ECU is located in the front right passenger foot well.
The glove box needs to be removed to gain access to the ECU.
